around the world in thirty three years

well, it’s not really around the world,
but on 28th March 2006,
I’m officially a five-continent traveler :-)
it all started in 1976
when a four years old was carried along by her parents
to live in a small town in rural Australia
twenty nine years later
she had seen more cities than just Armidale
and witnessed the amazingly created landscape and scenery,
made acquaintance with people from various ethnicities,
heard numerous tongues spoke different languages,
learned about the cultures and traditions of the world;
and thus realizing what an amazing world
she has been brought into.
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
